Syracuse Track Facts

Syracuse is a one mile dirt oval that was built as a horse track back in 1880. Lee Oldfield crashed through the barrier on September 16th, 1911 killing 11 spectators making this one of the worst auto racing accidents in history. Syracuse is known for being hard on the drivers and extremely hard on cars and equipment.
